Many thanks to all the folks who helped us in our Bar Room Mountaineering last week.
We played for the good people of The Fiddle Tree in Birnam Arts Centre on Thursday and completely forgot to take our camera… you’ll just have to believe were there and that we had a great time. For the first time we had Phil Hague of Admiral Fallow standing, or rather sitting in, on drums. He did a fantastic job. Gig organiser Martin Hadden said of our show “It was a great gig. Well done to new drummer Phil Hague who put in a sterling shift on what was his first gig with the band. If Findlay hadn’t told us that, we would never have known. The whole band sounded just brawsome (I love that word, even if it is a madey-uppy).”
Thanks again Phil! North American fans make sure you check out Phil and Admiral Fallow on their upcoming US and Canadian tour.
On Friday we headed south to New Cample Farm for a trio show organised by fellow folkies Emily Smith and Jamie McClennan. We forgot the camera again but as luck would have it our new pal Pete White captured some choice moments from the show.
It’s great to get out and play for new crowds in new venues and we look forward to return to both venues in the near future… cheers!
